By the grace of God Our Food has been Savored by people from all over the world for generations. All Bundu Khan's Clients are extremely loyal. We have had regular clients who have been coming in to enjoy our food since the past fifty years and they say that our food is a delicious and superior in quality as it was years ago. We cook in the open - in front of our customers. Our food is not all that spicy. So it appeals to Western and Eastern palates alike. And also kids- they are our most special customers. To us they are guests, not just customers Families walk into our restaurants with complete trust, without any qualms as to the quality of our food or service. They are assured of a totally hassle free, homelike atmosphere characterized by quick and courteous service. My brothers are constantly out in the restaurant making sure that our customers are happy and satisfied.

What strata of society do the majority of their clients belong to?
Our customers range from rich to poor people from all income groups can easily afford our food. Four Kebabs and two parathas can provide a satisfying meal for any individual along with the salad which is complimentary. Even if a chicken tikka meal is included the total cost of the meals adds up to between Rs 50-60 so no leaves our restaurants dissatisfied or unhappy.

Is it a high profit business?
This is a misconception as there are often rough paths too. For a considerable period of time now all businesses have suffered including the hotel and restaurant industry specially in the evening-night profit slot. However thankfully things are still satisfactory. Up to fifteen years ago the boom is Business was such that we literally had to beg customers to leaves at night because we where completely exhausted yet clients would continue to pour in late into the night. Now the scenario is different. People are afraid to venture out after dark. After 10 p.m. the city seems to be under curfew. People often question us as to why we don't introduce new item on our menu like biryani, korma etc. to make up for this situation but we stick to our traditional items because the secret unique recipes have been handed down to us by our forefathers.

What difficulties did you face in setting up your business in Pakistan?
Tremendous hardships however we have remained steadfast during difficult times and continued to be sincere and honest in our dealing with others. Once I remember I had to carry supplies of water on my head to our work premises over a distance of two kilometers. We have have even washed dishes and cleaned toilets in the past and do so even today if it is necessary. However, we maintain that there is no country as wonderful as the respect and status that we enjoy today. The new restaurants spend millions on decor, presentation of food and in creating a luxurious and sophisticated ambiance. You seem to have neglected those areas.

Why? We believe in concentrating on our food, its quality and taste.
Our belief is that very fancy exteriors are needed when something essential is lacking within. Furthermore, maintaining luxurious, air-conditioned surroundings would make our relatively low income clientele uncomfortable and also force us to upgrade our prices which in turn would make it unaffordable for them and all our customers are very valuable to us. Bundu Khan's stall at the Dubai Shopping Festival is one of the major attractions. At our stall in the global Village we are not offering all our specialists because our trip to be part of the Dubai Shopping Festival was a hurried affair. We are offering chicken tikka, chicken boneless. Bihari boti and parathas. I visited Dubai last year for the Festival after my earlier trip in the late 70's - it is a totally different experience now. We are thinking of opening a restaurant there; plans are afoot - let's see how things work out. Is he a happy man at the end of the day? "I see myself as a fakir - God's fakir. The Almighty has given us a lot and I am a very contented man. I spend a lot of time in the mosque as a khadim thanking Him for showering fame and prosperity on our family."
