Dental Surgery Assistants, Dental Technicians

arrange Melas and camps with medical profession
in different localities of Karachi. |

arrange regular free dental check up months
twice a year (April & October). Also arrange
free Dental check up weeks on the special
occasions. |

Distribution
of free Dental Health Education Literature
and Education given with audio visual aids. |

Oral
Cancer Screening With Ora Test and Brush Biopsy
being conducted at all the clinics of Institute. |

Free
Treatment Of Sub Mucous Fibrosis (said to
be non curable oral condition) is done successfully
with the success rate of 40%. |

Dental Health Education Programmes conducted
in government and private Schools since 1987. |
DIPLOMA
IN DENTAL HYGIENE :
The main objective behind this programme is to
over come the shortcoming in dental profession
by producing trained and professional Dental Hygienists,
who can perform the assigned jobs.
Details Of The Courses :
Dental Hygienists course last for
two academic years. Six months vocational training
(without stipend) is obligatory.
Job Opportunities :
Dental Hygienists can work in Dental Hospitals,
Educational Clinics, General Hospitals, Clinics
for large public and industrial organizations
and basic Medical Health Centers, not always working
under the supervision of Registered Dental Surgeon.
There is also a lot of demand of Dental Hygienists
all over the World e.g. in Western countries &
Arab Emirates.

INFORMATIONS
FOR BDS STUDENTS :
40 Hours of periodontology clinical work preferably
spread over two years. So the best time for admission
is the third yearof BDS.
How the hours are completed will be individual
student's choice. This matter has to be discussed
with the Incharge Dr. Rafia Khanum Malik or Administrator
Miss. Rita E Henry.
Total Fee to be paid in advance is Rs. 30000/-
including the transcript and documents.
