The Internet may be the last medium to come to one's mind when thinking of blood. But if in need, you can now log on instead of searching for donors of rushing to blood banks all over the city. A new Karachi-based web enterprise, eTaleem.com has recently come online to provide solutions in areas of education, career, health and travel to locals and Pakistani communities abroad. One of their projects is online blood banking on ww.health eTaleem.com. The Services was announced in June at a press conference. There will be a platform for blood donors and a 24-hours availability of all blood groups at locations closest to you. The website willl cater to all blood-related emergencies, be it an accident, surgery or any blood disease. The procedure comprises filling a form on the website after which the person in need well be introduced to a donor. Computers will be placed in hospitals and needy people can contact the authorities from these. The show is run by eTaleem.com's director marketing, Faisal Anwar and co-ordinator of the website Haleem Sharar. The two claim that it is the only website in Asia that has been visited by 2.6 million people in eight months.
