eMessenger Pakistan's first instant messenger service launched

KARACHI: eTaIeem.com has launched Pakistan's first instant messenger service "eMessenger" free of cost to the members of eTaleem.com. Membership to the web site is absolutely free.
Addressing a press conference Wednesday, representatives of the website, Faisal Anwar and K.M. Jilani said the instant messenger service has been developed by eTaleem.com's in house production team. They said eMessenger like AOL, YAHOO, MSN, EXCITE is among few websites of the world that have launched their own messenger service.
eMessenger, they said, is a software that allows people to communicate in real time using text so that they can quickly exchange messages with their friends family while they are online. Unlike email, instant messages appear as soon as they are sent. So this is not only effective, but is also an efficient and a fast way to converse.
They further apprised that eMessenger is a downloadable software, which can be downloaded directly from the eTaleem.com website and stored onto the hard disk of the user's computer, after that it can be installed and can be utilized instantly. People who converse with the user and are added to his/her list on the software are called 'buddies'. The online and offline status of the 'buddies' will also be displayed on this software, they added.
This software offers more than just chatting opportunities, the user can also make use of other features through eMessenger. These features include search facility on eTaleem.com site, search jobs online, sending greeting cards, news update, use eBriefcase, search for online blood donors, getting online help, add new friends to your list of buddies.
They said eMessenger's next version will carry additional features of language conversion ability, www.eTaleem.com. This will be the first portal to launch a messenger service with language conversion abilities from English to Urdu. If the user types a message in Roman English, The eMessenger service will translate Roman English into Urdu and the recipient will receive the message in Urdu.
SMS Service will enable the users to send SMS messages to any mobile phone in the world instantly.
Voice conversation option will also be available to the users in the next version. With this facility, the users of eMessenger will be able to converse though a PC to PC voice connection with each other, they added.
