What
is the treatment of Cancer?
Broadly Cancer treatment is divided as follows:
- Surgery
- In Surgery either the whole or the part of the Cancerous tissue
is removed from the body.
- Radio-Therapy
- In Radio- Therapy, the Cancer is treated with different rays
whereby Tumour Cells become dead and Cancer is stopped.
- Chemo
Therapy - In Chemo Therapy the Cancer patient is treated with
various chemicals which kills or stops growth of Cancer cells.
- Hormone
Therapy - In Hormone Therapy, we give various Hormones to
the Cancer patients which depresses the growth of cancer cells.
- Immuno
Therapy - In Immuno Therapy, we increase the immunity of the
cancer patient against cancer by various chemicals.
- Psycho
Therapy - Besides these treatments a very important mode of
treatment is Psychotherapy. By this technique the Cancer patient
is given mental boost-up so that he/she feels that his/her disease
will be completely cured and thereby his/her immune system in
the body gets excited and it starts liberating various chemicals
(namely Interleukin-II) which kills cancer cells.
